The Team receives an urgent call from Jules on her day off – she and her date Steve are trapped in a restaurant with a gunman who’s shot a waiter and is now holding hostages and making incoherent demands. Team One works with Jules on the inside, fighting to calm the gunman down before the waiter dies, but its clear there’s more to this simple hostage-taking. Team One discovers that this delusional man is merely a pawn in a much more horrific act of terror, targeting a local mosque.

They work by utilizing their training to get inside the heads of these people in order to make them reach their breaking point (aka their flashpoint). Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads the elite team on their missions. The show is based upon the experiences of the real life Toronto Police Emergency Task Force.
